Hey There! My name is JUDY LUNN. I’m a singer, guitarist, and a “Singing DJ” and have been performing for over 40 years.
Originally from Pennsylvania, I lived in Austin, TX for twelve years before moving to Coupeville, WA in 2022. I believe I have found my “forever home” here and am thrilled to be a part of the performing arts community on Whidbey Island.
I learned to play finger-style guitar to sing the ballads of John Denver. I recorded my first professional CD in Nashville, called “Songs That Speak To Me - Judy Lunn Sings A Tribute to John Denver.” The musicians on this album were members of John Denver’s band, including Chris Nole (piano), Pete Huttlinger (guitar), and Jim Horn (flute). This experience has been “The highlight of my little life so far.” You can purchase my CD on this website or at my live events. Or, download the music from the Apple iTunes Store or Amazon. If you have an issue with the links, just go to the iTunes Store or Amazon and type “Judy Lunn tribute John Denver” and you should find it!
Anne Murray was my “virtual voice coach” and I sing many of her hits as well. During my live shows you’ll hear many familiar acoustic favorites from the 70’s and 80’s, including songs originally performed by Mary Chapin Carpenter, Joan Baez, Kathy Mattea, Jim Croce, and others.
As a “Singing DJ” I use quality backing tracks to sing more upbeat songs for dancing. I’ll teach a few line dances at the beginning of the evening to inspire everyone to get up and “boot, scoot, and boogie.” While country music is my personal passion, I can play your favorite songs from Big Band to Motown to Pop.
